Professional Overview: Paul is a highly experienced Chartered Architect with 50 years of experience in private practice, having served as the Principal Architect and Director of BDK Architects in Jersey for the last 37 years. He qualified in 1981 and is a long-standing RIBA Chartered Member. Core Expertise: Project Scope: Handled a wide variety of building types with project values up to £45 million. Diverse Background: His experience spans private architectural practice, interior design and contracting, giving him a deep understanding of construction techniques, procedures, and contracts. Expert Witness: Qualified to provide expert advice and reports across the entire built environment, including architects appointments, professional negligence, planning, technical design, building regulations, building contracts, construction delays and defects. Key Leadership & Peer-Recognised Roles: Paul has been selected for numerous high-profile professional and community leadership positions, including: RIBA: Professional Standards Panel Member (2016–present). The Academy of Experts: Accredited Architect Expert Witness (2019–present). Institute of Structural Engineers: Chairman of Professional Conduct Board Hearings (2024–present). Association of Jersey Architects: Multi-term President and current Vice-President (2024–2028). Jersey Construction Council Ltd.: Founder and first Board Chairman (2004–2007), instrumental in uniting the local Jersey construction industry. Education & Charity: Governor of Highlands College for 20 years (including 2 years Vice-Chair & 3 years Chair), The Gurkha Welfare Trust Jersey Trustee, and multi-term Jersey 41 Club Chairman & UK National Conference Chairman.
