About
Mr. Neil Roberts is a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon working at Bart’s Heart Centre in London. He qualified from the University of Dundee in 1996. He trained in cardiothoracic surgery in Trent and London on the specialist-training programme. He passed the cardiothoracic intercollegiate examination in 2008 winning the McCormack medal for the highest mark in this examination in Great Britain and Ireland in the two sittings of 2008. He entered the specialist register in 2011 and has been a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon since February 2011. He was the clinical governance lead for Cardiac Surgery at Barts Heart Centre dealing with complaints, serious incident investigations and matters of quality and safety and is now the clinical governance lead for the Harley Street Clinic. He is a full examiner for the intercollegiate examination in cardiothoracic surgery and regularly examines in the breadth of the specialty syllabus. He was elected Dean of the Society for Cardiothoracic surgery in 2019. He has been preparing medical reports for the last 8 years and has been trained in medicolegal work by Bond Solon.
